Ice fishing season is just getting rolling across Lindy Land, but it’s also high time to start preparing for successful open-water adventures in 2016.

Toward that end, beginning this weekend Lindy Legendary Fishing Tackle’s popular Fish Ed TV is setting its sights on soft-water pursuits.

After covering red-hot ice bites and presentational trends around the Midwest, Fish Ed’s focus now turns to bringing viewers a boatload of guide-tested tips and tricks to help make this their best summer ever.

The coverage kicks off with a pair of surefire patterns for catching walleyes and crappies other anglers miss.

Watch as host Jon Thelen reveals spinner-rigging secrets that can make your rigs stand out from the crowd and catch more walleyes in the process. The approach is especially deadly when hungry ’eyes wander classic structure mowing down abundant baitfish.

Jon follows up with must-see strategies for jigging up overlooked reservoir crappies. Join him and fellow Lindy guide Brent Kemnitz as they flesh out a pattern for putting slabs in the boat on impoundments across the Midwest.

Tune in this Saturday, Jan. 2 at 12:30 p.m. Central on FOX Sports Wisconsin and FOX Sports North. And to catch even more great Fish Ed tips, tricks and adventures online, visit Lindy’s YouTube channel.
