Whether your idea of a good time on ice is reeling in fish while relaxing in comfort or hunting hard for the next hot bite, Lindy Land has winter fishing adventures to match.

This week on an all-new episode of Lindy Legendary Fishing Tackle’s Fish Ed TV, host Jon Thelen shows us how to enjoy icy good escapades on both ends of the spectrum.

Thelen kicks off the show on the hallowed waters of Minnesota’s Upper Red Lake, where he joins forces with fellow Northwoods guide and Lindy pro Jeff Sundin to haul in walleyes from one of Red Lake Remote’s well-appointed sleeper houses.

“Rental sleeper houses like the one we’re fishing out of are a perfect way to experience great ice fishing getaways without lugging loads of equipment or searching for fish yourself,” he explained. “They’re also a great way to introduce new anglers to the sport.”

After offering a host of pointers on planning and enjoying a memorable overnight getaway of your own, Thelen switches to search mode to track down early ice panfish where few anglers think to look.

His strategies fly in the face of conventional first-ice wisdom. While many anglers focus on shallow weedbeds, Thelen reveals that skinny water salad bars aren’t the only game in town.

Tune in to learn his time-tested, guide-proven system for pulling plump bluegills and crappies from deep-water hotspots other anglers miss.

Catch all the action this Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8:30 a.m. Central on FOX Sports Wisconsin and FOX Sports North.
